MSRLTF Task Force Structure
The Montana Sustainable Rangeland Livestock Task Force is governed by an Executive Committee and an Advisory Committee. The Executive Committee consists of three scientists: Dr. Tracy Brewer (Coordinator), Dr. Rodney Kott, and Dr. Jeff Mosley; Head of the Department of Animal and Range Sciences; Director of the Montana Agricultural Experiment Station; and Executive Secretary of the Montana Wool Growers Association. As the decision-making unit, the Executive Committee is responsible for the overall direction and management of the Task Force.
The Advisory Committee consists of representatives from key partner organizations in Montana. These organizations are the Montana Wool Growers Association (Chair), Montana Stockgrowers Association, Montana Farm Bureau Federation, Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Bureau of Land Management, and US Forest Service. Additional members may be added depending on program needs. The Advisory Committee guides program priorities, including research, education, and extension needs, and opportunities for collaboration. With input from the Advisory Committee, the Executive Committee identifies and prioritizes projects that address the mission and objectives of the Task Force.
